The world is built on goodness. By doing good, you build this world with your own hands. There can exist no geographic, lingual or social borders for goodness.
In the course of improving material and technical base of the Nova Borova Children’s Residential Care Home (for girls suffering from mental retardation at the imbecility stage, mentally deprived, for children deprived of parental care, orphan children), Charity Fund UWCF handed over two new acrylic bathtubs by German manufacturer to the care home staff in June. And from that moment on, the director Oleksandr Korbut together with all staff and the detdom.info volunteers obtained an opportunity to realize their common dream: to accommodate bathrooms in the children and adult units of the residential care home. There remained only to purchase electric water heaters, paint and to start with renovation.
In the middle of July UWCF received a phone call from two wonderful ladies benefactors – Spuskaniuk sisters who study at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi / Ukraine Initiative in American Community School of Abu Dhabi UAE – and they asked to present the residential care home with gifts, bought from donations gathered by the students.
Charity Fund UWCF have handed over two new 100 L electric water heaters and three 10 L buckets of universal paint, sponsored by the students of American Community School of Abu Dhabi, to Nova Borova Children’s Residential Care Home.
The international student body of American Community School of Abu Dhabi (ACS) consists of approximately 1,200 students, representing over 80 counties. Established in 1972, ACS is a non-profit, U.S. accredited college preparatory school serving a culturally diverse student body. The students are being inculcated with core human values (kindness, compassion) and the conviction that doing good is the basic element of a well brought up person’s behavior.
For their part, the UWCF’s team members have sent new interesting children editions in Ukrainian to the students of American Community School of Abu Dhabi.
Let us unite to help people realize that doing good is not difficult at all, but even small good deeds have enormous results.
