In summer Oksana Markevych, a volunteer of Charity Fund UWCF living in Klavdiieve-Tarasove urban-type settlement (Borodianka District of Kyiv Region), informed us about a multi-child family that moved to the place from Donbas. The Kyiv City Charity Foundation “Foodbank” at once donated dairy products: Agusha cottage cheese for babies, sour cream and farmer cheese for the 11 children.
Meanwhile, in the course of her volunteer work, Markevych paid attention that the parents’ income is quite modest – children were missing warm winter clothes.
After some time the UWCF team gathered the required help and the volunteer made another visit to the multi-child family. This time she brought along donated children clothes gathered by the fund.
“Each of us has some clothes, footwear, stuff or devices stored in garages or cellars. These things are still good, and it would be a pity to throw them away. So, we do not know what to do with such things, and there are people who really need them right away”, - says Markevych.
Elder children study at regular and music schools. Boys enjoy sports, girls – bead weaving, preschoolers stay at home with their mother.
The staff and volunteers of the Charity Fund UWCF wished the parents health, understanding, warmth and responsiveness, and their children – success in studies and peace in their homes.
