As a good tradition, the United World Cultural Foundation and detdom.info volunteers on December 22, 2018 arranged for children an exciting journey to the winter fairy tale - Center of Culture and History of Ancient Rus - the "Kievan Rus" park (Kopachiv, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region).
Having overcome a great path, pupils from two orphanages - Puhachiv Psychoneurological Treatment and Residential Care Center, located in Berezneve village of Korosten District in Zhytomyr Region (for children with oligophrenia in the stage of the Imbecility and Down Disease of the ІІІ-ІV disability group) and Novoborova orphanage, located in Nova Borova village Zhytomyr region (there are girls of the II group of disability) - filled the day with events and emotions.
Boarding schools are located 200 km from Kyiv, and children from Puhachiv Psychoneurological Treatment and Residential Care Center attend city once in a quarter. This time, the organizers decided to diversify their leisure time and made a surprise for the girls, inviting them to join the trip of their friends from the Novoborova orphanage. Pupils from the Novoborova orphanage for the first time went for unforgettable impressions on such a long journey, so they had a lot of surprises. Thanks to the tickets provided by the International Charitable Organization "Volunteer Association “Wings” ("Kryla"), the pupils from two orphanages had incredible adventures! The girls touched the wooden sculptures in the park, walked the paths that once walked ancient people. A pleasant surprise was the favorite TUC cookies and "Barney" bears biscuits from the Kyiv City Charity Fund "Food Bank".
The tour was pleasant to everyone, because it was interesting with surprises and sweets.
The program "Let’s Improve Children’s Lives" of the United World Cultures Foundation considers it our duty to make upcoming holidays unforgettable and fantastic and to transfer the outfits for girls from Novoborova orphanage. We dream that Princesses will appear at festive events during the winter miracle in incomparable, extraordinary dresses!
In Kyiv, where the children came for a delicious lunch, organized by the UWCF Foundation, the girls were welcomed by representatives of the Svyatoshyn Red Cross Society in Kyiv headed by Sonya Karetska. "Our organization has always been taking care of such children. We do everything to improve their living conditions, socialize children. And in the future we will do everything that depends on us", - said Mrs. Sonya and presents the pupils with presents.
