Book it’s a treasury of spiritual wealth. The sights of human thought accumulated in library for many centuries.
The library today acquires the status of an intermediary between the government and society. But, unfortunately, due to limited budget funding, libraries are not able to replenish the library fund with new books and periodicals.
The library fund of the Central City Children's Library of Konstantynivka city and the library of the Katerynivka village (Konstantynivka district, Donetsk region) were replenished with new publications. New books were presented by the “Cart of Books” action of the United World Cultures Foundation. There is literature for every taste in the library: detectives, adventures, science fiction, fairy tales and stories for children, books about leisure.
“Nowadays, when children and adolescents experience a significant lack of communication, the library is trying not only to satisfy their information needs, but also strives to become for them a place of intellectual and cultural communication, a center of leisure. Our library has ample opportunities to make the child’s leisure not only enjoyable and interesting, but also informative. Pupils of middle and senior school age visit the library with interest, because here you can not only borrow and read a good book. A librarian will always be interested in learning successes, hobbies of its young readers. In her field of vision is working with young people, schoolchildren, and educating them in moral, spiritual values”, - commented Maryna Kononenko, head of the Central City Children's Library of Konstantynivka.
Years and centuries pass, generations of people go into oblivion, their customs, beliefs and views change, and the great achievements of art outlast their creators for a long time. Such treasures of world significance include the creations of the great genius of the Ukrainian nation Taras Shevchenko. For each generation, it is something special, like strength, like wisdom, like poetry, like the spirit that has hovered over us at all times.
The libraries were replenished with the publication of the “Image.ua” international business magazine. The third issue of the publication was completely dedicated to the life and work of Taras Shevchenko. In preparing the material, journalists used the archive of the Institute of Literature named by Shevchenko of NAS of Ukraine, sites: www.kobzar.ua, www.taras-shevenko.in.ua.
