The social campaign “Special transport for people with disabilities” of the program “Walking to the Health Land” of the “United World Cultures Foundation” and the International Charity Fund “Promoting the development of medicine”, which began in 2018, is gaining in Ukraine. The action is aimed at improving the lives of Ukrainians with disabilities, so that people do not lose contact with the outside world and, thanks to a wheelchair, can socialize faster.
We all know that the second leg for a person who has lost the ability to walk independently is a stroller. Imported strollers are more adapted to movement, they have many positions of change of position.
Retirees and youth with special needs under 16 years are provided with wheelchairs in accordance with the procedure for envisaged applications.
In early June, five new wheelchairs received for free the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Illinovsky City Council of the Konstantynivka District of Donetsk Region.
It is worth reminding society that even in difficult life situations, a person with special needs will be strong in spirit and full of energy if he feels help. The UWCF Charitable Foundation helps people with special needs feel special, letting them feel more relaxed and confident.
“On behalf of the Territorial Center for Social Services, I am very grateful to the “Special Transport for People with Disabilities” campaign for new wheelchairs, for help and support for the most vulnerable. Despite the fact that now all the attention in the country and outside it is focused on the events in the Donbass, there are still tens of thousands of people next to us whose colossal problems have not disappeared,” said Natalia Voronova, director of the Center.
Coordinator of the “Special Transport for People with Disabilities” campaign “Walking to the Health Land” program of the United World Cultures Foundation and the International Charitable Fund “Promoting the development of medicine” Lyudmyla Lysenko notes: "Our action allows us to radiate joy and positiveness of families where there are people with disabilities and people in need of wheelchairs themselves. The sparkling smiles of people with disabilities give us the strength to continue this business. We illuminate people in wheelchairs as a part of the ordinary world, the full socialization of people with special needs in society and bring up the right attitude to these people in a healthy part of society.”
