From 10th to 12th of May 2021 International youth competition-festival of classical ballet «Grand Prix Kyiv» was taking place.
Due to the global COVID-19, pandemic Grand Prix Kyiv 2021 competition had online format. Streaming of two days of contest and gala concert on the official Facebook page and Youtube channel Grand Prix Kyiv happened to be in National Opera House of Ukraine.
Grand Prix Kyiv – is a charitable project recognized by UNESCO and accepted to International Federation of Ballet Competitions. The festival was founded at the initiative of the People's Artist of Ukraine Nobuhiro Terada with the support of Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, benefactor Toshihiki Takahashi (Japan), Vladimir Malakhov Foundation and «United World Cultures » Foundation.
The competition-festival is held annually since 2015 in the National opera of Ukraine of T.G. Shevchenko (Kyiv) and over years of its existence unified the representatives of ballet from around 20 countries of different continents.
PARTICIPANTS AND WINNERS
The young dancers aged 15 to 19 have applied to participate in International youth competition-festival of classical ballet Grand Prix Kyiv 2021. The competition was conducted between participants that met all technical conditions and sent records of their competition numbers for two tours – classic and modern.

Honorable Jury were choosing winners among the representatives of Kazakhstan, Spain, South Africa, Turkey, Czech Republic, The United States, Italy, China, Japan, the Republic of Armenia, the Netherlands, Norway and Ukraine.

Grand Prix – Adiya Manabassova, Kazakhstan
1 prize – Danyl Zinoviev (USA) and Katerine Myklukha (Ukraine)
2 prize – Masaaki Goto (Japan), Jiang Lee (China) and Naqun Oya (Netherlands)
3 prize – Joachim Wisnes (Norway), Ephe Burak (Turkey) and Alejandro Molina (Spain)
GALA-CONCERT
Grand Prix Kyiv 2021 Gala Concert took place on May 12, 2021 on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine. Usually winners and recipients with their best numbers take part in the gala concert, but this year quarantine restrictions made their adjustments – all foreign participants stayed home and watched all the action via gadgets.
The winners’ announcements and awarding of recepients from Ukraine took place behind the scenes of the theatre and were streamed on on Youtube channel Grand Prix Kyiv.
It is the seventh year when the team of «United World Cultures» foundation joins International ballet festival Grand-Prix Kyiv.
