Psychological entertaining training "Joy is the best medicine"

On 6 July 2016, the United World Cultures Foundation (UWCF) implemented a psychological entertaining project "Joy is the best medicine" in the premises of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdet" and the State Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine for patients and their parents.

Performances by illusionists, clowns, acrobats, fairy tale characters and master classes in visual arts from volunteer psychologists took the attention of young patients from their daily medical procedures.

Professional psychologists who gave master classes found their approach both to children and adult using creative activities, gave advice on methods and techniques for rehabilitation of children after their operations and other medical procedures. In addition, young patients had an opportunity to directly participate in circus acts, theatrical performances and become a magician's assistant.

UWCF also granted five tonometers for measurement of blood pressure and 226 children's entertainment games and booksto hospitals.
