Today, the social and economic conditions in our society are extremely vulnerable. Growing unemployment rates and spread of negative social phenomena contribute to the increase in the number of families that face difficult circumstances. As an obvious result, children who are raised in those families often fail to receive necessary care and decent living conditions.
Bohdan Kupchynskyi, Head of Zhytomyr City Children’s NGO Vse Robymo Sami (“We Do It All by Ourselves”), has visited some families in crisis. He told our team members of the UWCF program “Let's Improve Children's Lives” about the difficulties experienced by the families and their most burning needs as of today.
Behind every problem, there is someone’s life, someone’s tears. UWCF has donated baby clothes to the families. For example, one young mother has had complicated delivery and her paperwork is not finished yet to apply for childcare benefits.
Our task as benefactors is to help keep families together for children and create a different family model that is cosy and comfortable for all its members.
