On Khmelnytskyi City Day, 25 September 2016, United World Cultures Foundation supported by the Khmelnytskyi City Council conducted the charity dance marathon, aiming to raise public awareness of problems faced by children with special needs in Khmelnytskyi Region and help Turbota Centre of Medical and Social Rehabilitation for disabled children with nervous system and musculoskeletal system disorders at Khmelnytskyi City Children’s Hospital. The rehabilitation centre annually treats nearly 500 children with congenital and acquired development defects, on the free of charge basis.
Organization of the Charity Dance Marathon was supported by All-Ukrainian NGO “Coalition for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities” and Olivier Vedrine, European expert, President of Continental University Think Tank at National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

Charity foundation UWCF would like to express our gratitude for kind involvement in the Dance Marathon to Rodunnyi Zatyshok Rehabilitation Centre whose patients opened the event by dancing a waltz. Festive mood was also created for the marathon’s guests by children and youngsters, including winners of international contests, dance clubs Uspikh, Dance Center, Dream, Latynych, G-Star Dance Studio, Aktsent, Fenomen, Spalakh dance and vocal studio, Faiza Belly Dance School, Al Shuryk Classical Oriental Dance Centre.
United World Cultures Foundation thanks all residents and guests of Khmelnytskyi who participated in the Dance Marathon and thus paid attention to the problems of Turbota Centre of Medical and Social Rehabilitation, and our special thanks to Valeriy Kolomiyets, Director of Proskuriv-Agro LLC, and Olymp PrJSC.
The money raised through the event has been used to purchase equipment needed by Turbota Centre of Medical and Social Rehabilitation, worth in total UAH 11,061, in particular: ball pit “Kut 1.5”, 1 pc.; trampoline Total Sport, 1 pc.; gym mats, 2 pcs.; balls for the ball pit, 300 pcs.; fitness mats, 2 pcs.; and folding gym mat, 1 pc. The equipment will be soon handed over to the rehabilitation centre.
