Charity fund UWCF is an organization well-known all over Ukraine. In 2017 only, thousands of people were grateful to UWCF for help. United World Cultures Foundation provides support to various social categories and works with dozens of hospitals throughout the country. Since the time the charity fund was established, we have carried out hundreds of charity campaigns and raised many people’s awareness.
Project Our Health Is in Our Hands as a part of the UWCF program Walking to the Health Land is active partnering with other charitable foundations to help people who face difficulties and need medical supplies.
United World Cultures Foundation, through close cooperation with the leading international pharmaceutical corporation Arterium, provided free medications to: Zhytomyr City Children’s Public Organization Vse Robymo Sami (“We Do It All by Ourselves”), Charity Fund Salvation (“Spasinnia Dushi”) led by Igor Padalko from Pokrovsk in Donetsk Region, International Charitable Organization Volunteer Association Kryla (“Wings”), for transfer to healthcare institutions of Luhansk and Lviv Regions. All these organizations provide assistance to both children and their families.
“What is special about our fund’s cooperation with other charitable organizations is that every single time we customize our support to every region. Every organization submits a request according to their high priority needs and our staff members at the project Our Health Is in Our Hands of the UWCF program Walking to the Health Land satisfy these needs”, says Liudmyla Lysenko, UWCF project manager. “These can be antibiotics, sedating medications – anything that the organizations can ask for. This time, we have donated medications for UAH 122,000”.
Igor Padalko, Director of Charity Fund Salvation, appreciated the support: “This is a huge help for our hospitals, medical and obstetric centres and local first-aid stations. We would like to thank United World Cultures Foundation for this initiative. Health-related costs are high nowadays, and unfortunately not all people can afford to pay them. We are grateful that you help residents of the Donbas. Everyday new and new requests for help are coming. It is often the case that the help is needed not even today – it was needed yesterday”.
On behalf of the project Our Health Is in Our Hands of the UWCF program Walking to the Health Land, we would like to thank all our fellow organizations for good faith partner relations, timely reporting on dispensing pharmaceuticals, and understanding. Hope we will continue our successful cooperation for saving lives of Ukrainians.
