Date: March 2021

Ukrainian Coordination Centre for Raising Legal Awareness, partnered with Ukrainian Youth Law Assembly, United World Cultures Foundation (UWCF), Ukrainian Association for Creative Youth (UACY), and supported by Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children’s Rights Mykola Kuleba, invite students of general secondary schools in Ukraine and those schoolchildren who are Ukrainian citizens permanently or temporarily living outside of Ukraine, aged under 18 years old, to take part in the XV (Jubilee) All-Ukrainian School Drawing Contest “My Rights” organized to mark International Children’s Day and the 30th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.

This Jubilee Contest “My Rights” has also been supported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

This year, the contest organizers have introduced two special nominations – The Best Art of Ukrainian Diaspora and The Protection of Children’s Rights in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.

To participate in the contest, you must send your contest submission (an individual or collective drawing, mini-comics, memes) and your application until 1 May 2021:

- in the electronic form (JPEG), to email: uccplec@gmail.com (please remember to indicate “My Rights” as your email’s subject);

- in the paper form, to the address: 02147 Kyiv, POB 34, recipient: Ukrainian Coordination Centre for Raising Legal Awareness.

For more information on the contest terms and conditions, please check the REGULATION OF THE CONTEST.

In the attempt to additionally involve students of Kyiv schools, we have decided to hold SEPARATELY the Kyiv City School Drawing Contest “My Rights” as part of the all-Ukrainian contest, where one of the main organizers, among those mentioned above, is the Youth and Sports Department of the Kyiv City State Administration (Kyiv City Council’s executive body).

Reference: Over 14 years, nearly 90,000 contestants have taken part in the contest (the submission dynamics has increased by 250 times).

In 2017, the contest was ranked among the 100 Best Youth Work Practices in Ukraine.

In 2020, the contest as a project was recognized as the best practice of implementing non-governmental initiatives “TOP-100” (Kyiv) and as the winner of the contest “Civil Society and Public Authorities – Best Cooperation Practices”.
