Cossack-knightly traditions of upbringing is one of the most original phenomenon of world and Ukrainian pedagogy, they reflect the spiritual core of the nation striving for freedom, independence, democracy. Today, they are an integral part of our education system.
One such Cossack from Pereiaslav appealed to the campaign “Special Transport for People with Disabilities”, asking to provide him with a wheelchair. This campaign is implemented by the UWCF’s program “Walking to the Health Land”, together with International Charitable Fund “Contribution to Medicine Development”, with the purpose of improving the lives of Ukrainians with disabilities.
In order to improve the quality of life of elderly people in rural areas, a wheelchair was handed over to Yaroslava Tokar, head of “Kryla” (“Wings”) Volunteer Association, International Charitable Organization. Together with volunteers, Yaroslava went to the village of Studenyky, in spite of the quarantine, to deliver a new multifunctional wheelchair for a Cossack woman who was left paralyzed after a stroke.
