Treatment and prevention of acute respiratory infections

Date: October 2018

With the onset of the off-season, the issue of preventing colds has become more urgent than ever. The human body becomes vulnerable to acute respiratory viral infections, colloquially called “colds”, as well as to their more dangerous representative, the flu.

Colds are the most common ailments. Autumn is the time when the project “Our Health is in Our Hands” of the program “Walking to the Health Land” together with the global company Indian Herbs, “SHIV-MEDFARM” are thinking about preventing colds to protect kids from various infections, ailments and viruses.

Influenza is the most common infectious disease. Flu epidemics periodically cover the entire globe, and then we are exposed to the threat of infection with this virus. But the flu is not just a cold. This aggressive disease has very unpleasant manifestations in the form of fever, headache, severe runny nose and cough. In addition, the flu threatens us with a number of dangerous complications. This is especially true of children, the elderly and those with chronic diseases.

The primary symptoms of a cold are coughing, sneezing, tearing, weakness, headache, sore throat. If time does not eliminate all manifestations, the disease can worsen, lead to complications or smoothly turn into a chronic form.

We are concerned about how to avoid colds in general or minimize the duration and intensity of a cold. Ayurveda products from Indian Herbs, SHIV-MEDFARM: “Bronchowid” syrup, fluid (natural expectorant anti-edema for flu, with cardamom flavor, honey and lemon taste ), skin care - a wide range of dermatological “Derminol” cream, herbal cream for psoriasis SoriCure for skin care for inflammation.

The project “Our Health in Our Hands” of the program “Walking to the Health Land” has provided in the first-aid kit with medicines to “Rodyna” Social Rehabilitation Center (for children with severe developmental disabilities, combined disorders) autism, behavioral problems, mental retardation, etc.), low-income families from the Piskivka village, Borodyansky district, Kyiv region, and traditionally packed a large first-aid kit for boys and girls from the East of Ukraine, who are temporarily accommodated and live at “Dzherelo” holiday centre (Pushcha-Vodytsia, Kyiv Region).

We express our gratitude to the global company "Indian Herbs," SHIV-MEDFARM" for the assistance provided of Aurvedic preparations.

“The staff and volunteers of the project are making efforts to avoid cases of diseases among children than their treatment. Before and during the period of the epidemic of influenza and other respiratory viral infections, together with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, we insist on preventive measures. The most effective of these is flu vaccination. The Ministry of Health recommends organizing temporary vaccination points for influenza in kindergartens, schools, organizations, institutions and establishments. This will help prevent an increase in the incidence rate and facilitate public access to influenza vaccination,” - commented Lyudmila Lysenko, head of the program “Walking to the Health Land” of the United World Cultures Foundation.

As you know, is always better to prevent a disease than to cure. Clever prevention of colds minimizes the likelihood of infection by pathogenic viruses.
