Echoes of occasional artillery fire have become routine for residents of Avdiivka and neighbouring villages – just like the fear caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Two NGOs based in the city – Avdiivka Joint Action Platform and Pereborennia (“Overcoming”) Avdiivka City Association of People with Disabilities – now act as a heart of all local charities targeting to help population of Avdiivka, Donetsk Region. Our campaign “Children of War and Lockdown” of the UWCF program “Walking to the Health Land” has once again handed over medicines to these two organisations, donated by pharmaceutical corporation Arterium for further distribution to local beneficiaries who have found themselves caught in the maelstrom of the war and lockdown in city Avdiivka, villages Krasnohorivka, Orlivka and Lastochkyne in Yasynuvata District of Donetsk Region.
Herpetic infection is chronic and recurrent, which means any stressful situation such as overwork, burnout, exhaustion, cold-related diseases, acute respiratory viral infections, etc., may cause rash occurrences on lips or skin. Herpes simplex virus may affect skin, mucous membranes, central nervous system, and internal organs.
Those donated pharmaceuticals, worth UAH 76,800, will help families cope with challenging and stressful situations, reduce nervous tension and overcome anxiety.
